A Perfect World

In a perfect world all the poems would rhyme
No need to hurry, plenty of time
Everyday tasks would be easy and fun
There'd be enough with no lack for everyone

Voices of songbirds would wake us each morn
Sweet smell of roses minus the thorn
Breeze would be gentle when kissing my cheek
No faucet would drip and the roof would not leak

A friend's voice would greet me each time the phone rang
And the mouth of the snake would be minus the fang.
No debts to pay no deadlines to meet
There'd be no taste of bitter only the sweet

There would be no hard times, life would be fun
No regrets or remorse over things left undone
No altercations no angry words hurled
That's how it would be in a perfect world!
